Our Privacy Policy
Here at the MtG Multiverse Project, we don’t really care about your information. Heck, this is a website about the lore of a card game, and we’re losing money every single day running it. But, to help offset that cost, we’ve sold a little bit of our soul to Google and allowed them to host ads here. C’est la vie.
First off: Feel free to reject the little data pop-up and refuse the site access to your data, or even modify what data you allow the site to access if you choose. All it will change is what ads show up.
Why is this happening: We don’t select the ads our site runs; instead the system behind-the-scenes grabs any details it can about your browsing preferences and tries to tailor the ads to you directly. This is essentially the same as how every other online ad-running website functions, and we only have this message up now due to efforts by the EU to help inform users about site traffic and how their data is used. Great job, EU! Now if only America could do the same…
How we feel about your data: We don’t see any of your data, nor do we keep it. Why would we? How would we? We don’t have servers or data banks. If anything the actual technical construction of this site is slightly embarrassing from an engineering standpoint. But I’m not a computer programmer. I just like Magic cards, and if you’re here, I bet you do, too. Let it be known: I have no idea who you are, and I never will, unless you send me a nice email introducing yourself.
Thanks for reading.
